Strategic Planning

Our Strategic Planning consultation is the formal consideration of your organization's future course. All strategic planning deals with at least one of three key questions:

  1. "What do we do?"
  2. "For whom do we do it?"
  3. "How do we excel?"

In business strategic planning, the third question is better phrased "How can we beat or avoid competition?”. (Bradford and Duncan, page 1).

In this process we view where your organization is going over the next few years, typically 3 to 5 years, although some we extend their vision to 20 years.

In order to determine where you are going, you need to know exactly where you stand, then determine where you want to go and how you will get there. The resulting document is called your "strategic plan".

Vision: Defines where the organization wants to be in the future. It reflects the optimistic view of the organization's future.

Mission: Defines where the organization is going now, basically describing the purpose, why this organization exists.

Values: Main values protected by the organization during the progression, reflecting the organization's culture and priorities.

The purpose of individual strategic planning: to increase your return on energy, the return on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual capital you have invested in your life and career.
